I think I was about 6yrs old the last time that I wore polka dots and I’ve loved dressing up my daughter in dots and spots over the years but somehow it’s a pattern that I’ve neglected in my own wardrobe. So when I spotted this lovely red number at Sammy Dress I couldn’t wait to indulge in dots again!

Here I am wearing a size UK8 dress made from polyester; with it’s full length sleeves and turn-down collar it’s the perfect transitional piece for this season as it keeps me warm and covered and can be worn buttoned up as a dress or open over jeans and a vest. With an A-line silhouette it makes me feel incredibly glamourous, cheerful and feminine in a bold pop of red with white polka dots repeated all over.
The dress finishes just above my knee and comes with a thin burgundy waist belt to create a pretty hourglass figure. I love how casual and relaxed this dress is; it’s comfortable, easy to move in and makes a change from trousers and a blouse for smart casual daywear. I’d wear this with a pair of ballet pumps and an oversized shoulder bag for the day or platform heels and a metallic clutch for a glitzy night on the tiles.
