Cheltenham Racecourse Ladies Day #ColourMeMarch

I’m not much of a gambling woman in general, that is until I attend a live event or watch the grand national and scream at the TV each year, betting on horses purely because of their hilarious or meaningful names such as Sea Biscuit or Happy Camper. Horse racing is surprisingly the only event that I’ve ever bet on, and it’s safe to say that I’m far from an expert in racing as I spend far more time deciding on what outfit to wear rather than studying the horses or state of the track.

Cheltenham Races Ladies Day #ColourMeMarch

The Cheltenham Racecourse are holding a #ColourMeMarch event to celebrate Ladies Day on 11th March 2015 and it promises to be a day of colour explosions for outfits, accessories, huge hats and scarves. The idea is to dress as bright and bold as possible to fill the stalls with every beautiful colour of the rainbow and so I’ve chosen this vibrant blue bodycon dress from BooHoo for such a special occasion.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for sunny blue skies to match my outfit, and I may even add a splash of fake tan and a juicy coral lip colour with matching clutch to accessorise. Although it’s tradition to wear a fancy hat I’m dangerous enough with my umbrella so I’ll stick to some loose curls and plenty of hairspray instead.  What’s not to love about getting dressed up, sipping on a glass of champagne and enjoying the atmosphere of a live horse race; the event looks to be incredible and I’ve got a feeling that I might be lucky with my winners this year. A big thank you to etailPR for arranging my attendance at the Cheltenham Racecourse, I can’t wait to see what everybody is wearing!
