FemmeLuxe Finery Girlpower Edit

This weeks FemmeLuxe fashion haul is my girlpower edit, which actually isn’t my edit at all, because my 12yr old daughter Millie chose all of my clothes and I had absolutely no idea what was arriving until my doorbell rang this morning.

So here Millie tells me what she’s picked out and if she thinks it suits me…

Let’s start this weeks haul with strapless dresses shall we! My daughter says: “I picked this because I thought it was eye-catching and generally something you wouldn’t see on the highstreet, like something a fashion-designer would make.”

I absolutely love this dress, it fits like a glove, looks a million dollars and is so pretty! Great work Millie!

Next up let’s look at puff sleeve tops, Millie says: “I chose this top because the other ones were more understated but this one seemed more party-esque so I thought it would be nice to have something else in the mix. I think it is a bit too glitzy for Mum but it still looks good!”

I’m not sure when I’d wear this during quarantine, but I’m obsessed with the sparkle and I love how much it accentuates the cleavage. It looks super cute with a mini skirt and heels and I’ll definitely be packing it in my suitcase for holiday!

Moving on to ruched midi dresses and I love this red number! Millie says: “I chose this one because it looks elegant and more dressy than the other ones. I like how the fabric is ruched and folded up, I thought it was very much a red-carpet dress because of the colour and style.”

I absolutely adore this dress and give it a full 10/10, what a great choice! It’s so soft, stretchy, sassy and bold, just what every girl needs in her wardrobe – in every colour of the rainbow!

Finally let’s finish with slogan t-shirts, Millie says of her choice: “I chose this one because lips is like Mummy’s name, Kiss, and it stands out and catches the eye – just like how Mum likes to dress!”

Well played Millie, I love the big bold leopard print lips and can rock a t-shirt in so many different ways because it’s just so versatile.

All in all a super selection of fashion picks and I’m really impressed with how well my daughter knows my style and get’s what I love. I guess it’s clear to see when you enjoy fashion and think outside the box that others pick up on your good vibes and style!

I’d highly recommend letting a loved one pick out some seasonal staples for you, because let’s face it they know you so well and understand what works for you. If you’ve always played it safe with your style now’s the time to take a leap of faith and try something new and exciting.
