My central heating is now officially on overdrive as it’s been reported that this November’s weather is the coldest in the last decade! Eek!
It’s therefore only practical to make this weeks FemmeLuxe Finery haul a winter warmer edit with all of my chill-busting must-have’s to keep you toasty and chic throughout the big chill!
Let’s kick things off with the easiest item to bring a splash of style to an outfit – t-shirts – because let’s face it, we all buy them but it’s the attention to detail that sets them apart from the mundane.
I love how soft, stretchy and classical this slogan print tee is, and the paintbrush script detail of the ‘Yves Saint Love’ text really adds a kick of rebellion to this bold piece. Whether you wear it with a pair of common joggers for loungewear, or rock it with a pair of skinny jeans and heels for a Sunday brunch, you really cannot go wrong with a stylish tee or ten!
I have a massive crush on jumpers every winter and it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine to stock up on chunky knits and different cuts to suit the change in season.
At the moment I’m totally obsessed with oversized jumpers because they can be worn as both a jumper and a dress depending on the occasion which is super convenient. I can’t decide if I’m going to cuddle up on the sofa in this super snug beauty or pour myself a cocktail and invite some friends over – it’s just so effortlessly fashionable!
This leads me nicely onto loungewear and what really caught my eye about this grey set is the gorgeous cable knit texture to the fabric. The vertical pattern draws the eye upwards and elongates the bod creating a slimming effect whilst the knitted fabric seamlessly covers over any lumps and bumps and problem areas.
This set is so cute as a two-piece and the top looks equally sweet when teamed with a pair of ripped jeans or throwing on a plain vest with the fitted bottoms. There are just so many ways to wear this – three potential outfits for the price of one!
Finally I thought we’d finish up this weeks haul talking about tracksuits because I feel like the word tracksuit instantly makes me think of thick, baggy, hot, practical sportswear and that’s definitely not what this super cute set is about!
Yes it has pockets and yes it’s a two-piece that’s long-sleeved, yet it’s beautifully lightweight, figure-flattering and slimming in black. More of a stylish summer tracksuit that you could wear to go shopping rather than the uber-casual teenage attire from a sports shop – how sophisticated yet practical!
