I’m calling this weeks FemmeLuxe fashion haul my sass edit because these are the lazy-day pieces that I’m super excited to rock whilst lapping my four walls in lockdown. Yes, the world is still isolated and there is nowhere to go and nothing to do – but a little retail therapy and getting dressed up (or down) makes a whole lot of difference to your mindset!
Here I’ve picked out some of my favourite pieces that put a smile on my face and I hope that they’ll make you smile too…
First up I thought we could go straight in with bodysuits and my love for black lace. If you’re having a bit of a blah day then a sure-fire way to pick yourself up is to feel sexy and sassy and this little beauty has bags of both!
Soft, stretchy and figure-hugging without feeling exposed or restricted, I love how this beautiful black lace hugs my curves and makes me feel undefeatable!
Next up my love for skinny joggers continues with this beautiful grey marl set which has a beautiful vertical ribbed detailing to elongate the body and slim the torso – huge brownie points after having far too many lockdown brownies!
Grey is such an easy colour to wear and when teamed with a skinny fit leg and full coverage lightweight jumper it hides a multitude of sins whilst looking super stylish and effortlessly chic.
As we’re moving into springtime I thought I’d restock my co-ords with this beautiful back knitted set that I’m literally living in right now because it’s just so cute and comfy!
Whenever I wear shorts they’re mostly lycra sports or gym wear in bright bold colours and exciting patterns, so this is a little out of the ordinary for me but I love it! Black is such an easy classical colour to wear and this cutesy long-sleeve crop top and shorts are thick and warm making them perfect for the transition from winter to spring.
Finishing up, I’m chasing the bright blue skies of this season with this beautiful white ribbed co-ord because for me, skirts scream sunshine! Despite lacking a tan as I haven’t had a holiday since last year because of lockdown, I love how bright this white duo makes me feel.
Soft, stretchy and semi-covered provides the best of both worlds as it’s sexy without being too revealing and warm enough to wear indoors or out when the weather changes at the drop of a hat.
This fashion haul has really got me excited for the coming months and the hope that lockdown restrictions will be lifted soon and we may have some sense of normality and the ability to meet up with friends, go on dates and enjoy the summer.
At times like these we need to find positive focus and things to be enthusiastic about; let’s look to the summer ahead and remember to treat ourselves to nice things every once in a while whilst taking each day as it comes.
