Gestation: 33weeks & 3days

Today I have a hospital appointment, which I’m just off to in a moment. I’m having to drive to Oxford again for some more brain tests and I’m hoping I can squeeze a bit of shopping time into the journey home, I know they have some nice baby boutiques in the city and I haven’t bought any baby bits for a while now.

This bank holiday has been so lovely and hot and sunny, I walked into the garden the other day and thought I was in the Caribbean by the look of the gorgeous perfect blue sky. The only downside being that it was so unbelievably hot I couldn’t go outside, so whilst everybody is tanned, me and the little one are like English Roses in bloom. I feel like a boil in the bag kipper.

I’ve been having a little difficulty breathing again and it’s taken its toll on my energy levels as its getting ever more difficult to sleep especially when it’s hot at night, so I’m just staying awake panting instead. I was almost asleep last night when I started to panic about not being able to breathe if I fell asleep, and the more I thought about it the harder and faster I started to breathe and the more I panicked. It’s not exactly how I thought I’d spend my summer and I hope that was the first and last time. I’ve had a few funny turns and spent most of the weekend in bed but I guess that’s expected at this time?

Other than that I’ve been mega cheerful, counting down the minutes until she’s here and I can rest and breathe if only for half an hour at a time.

My parents and family and friends have been absolutely wonderful in every way possible, I feel so joyful to be able to share this with them.

So here’s a quick snappy of le bump that causes so much mischief. I’m getting so many little toes digging in my ribs as I write this, think I’ll have to get her some big fluffy slippers when she’s born to save on black eyes when I’m nappy changing 🙂 xx
