Hawkyn’s Restaurant Provides Takeaway Fine Dining In Amersham

In light of the Prime Minister announcing planning rules to be relaxed so that pubs and restaurants may now operate as hot food takeaways during the coronavirus outbreak, Michelin Star Chef Atul Kochhar of Hawkyn’s Restaurant in Amersham is keen to bring fine-dining takeaways to all throughout rising self-isolation and quarantine measures in the UK.

Stricter guidelines now include the closure of pubs and restaurants as well as nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres; these heightened measures are the latest in a series of practical steps that the government are taking to help people to self-isolate and protect the vulnerable and elderly by avoiding social contact outside of the home in the hope to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Previously, planning permission was required for businesses wanting to carry out a change of use to become a hot food takeaway, however Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that regulations will be relaxed to enable businesses to deliver this service without needing a planning application.

Hawkyn’s Restaurant Is Situated In Amersham

Regularly appearing on television shows such as Saturday Kitchen, Masterchef Goes Large, The Great British Menu and Saturday Morning With James Martin, famed restauranteur and celebrity Chef Atul Kochhar is hailed for his contemporary style and love for traditional honest food, changing the way that diners experience Indian cuisine with his unique talent of fusion.

In such testing times where freedom has become so promptly restricted and supermarket shelves run empty, the small family traditions of happy healthy meal times mean so much to us all. Where we would usually go out for dinner of a weekend, stop off for a coffee on the way home from work or venture out for evening entertainment and special occasions, we are now confined to our homes and televisions awaiting further updates and rules.

Michelin Star Chef Atul Kochhar Brings Fine Dining To All

Amidst the uncertainty and change of these recent weeks, we found great comfort in the beloved tradition of having a takeaway for dinner from our favourite restaurant at Hawkyn’s followed by a family games night which filled our home with warmth, laughter and smiles once more.

Our favourite food is Indian cuisine and we’ve spent many fond evenings dining at Atul’s fusion restaurants amongst the ambiance, spice and fragrances of his fine-dining experiences – but this has been a first for us to bring his delicious food home to our own table. It is more poignant than ever for us all to support the local businesses who have always provided for us and now adapt their services in order to loyally carry on.

Eating Out Has Always Been A Family Tradition Of Ours – Now Fine-Dining Can Come To Our Homes

Chef Kochhar is also generously providing healthy high-quality meal options to NHS staff at cost price in order to keep them well fed and strong to best see us through this pandemic. We often take for granted the amenities and services around us, absentmindedly turning to the cheaper convenience of large supermarkets and chains over the expertise, high quality and attention to detail from independent businesses around us.

I hope that you all stay safe, follow government guidelines and cherish this time that you have together with loved ones. We will get through this difficult time and become even stronger, more thankful and supportive towards small independent businesses than ever before – they are an absolute treasure to our highstreet which simply wouldn’t be the same without them.
