PHD Nutrition Plant Based Protein Bars

I need precisely zero-excuse to consume vegan chocolate but have to admit that afterwards I always feel a little bit naughty for being so over indulgent. Loving the gym, keeping active and following a plant based diet I’m always on the lookout for health conscious high protein treats that I can pop into my gym bag for a post-workout snack; when I spotted PhD Nutrition’s new plant bars I just had to get my hands onto every flavour!

PHD Nutrition Plant Based Protein Bars

PhD’s plant range has been designed to help people to hit their macro and dietary goals alike minus the use of dairy. Delicious, high in protein, low in sugar and plant based this snack certainly ticks all of my boxes and suit vegetarians, vegans, flexitarians and carnivores alike seeking protein.

Available in four mouth-watering flavours including chocolate coconut and cashew, chocolate peanut caramel, chocolate toffee popcorn and dark chocolate brownie each bar contains a massive 20-23g of protein, just 6-9g of total carbs and only 2-3g of sugar. Vegan friendly, approved by the vegetarian society and containing 100% natural, gluten-free ingredients they are perfect for my dairy and gluten intolerant diet.

PHD Nutrition Plant Based Protein Bars Come In A Variety Of Flavours Perfect For A Post-Workout Snack

The bars are the perfect snack pre or post workout and make a great alternative to packing a protein shake and mixing powders if you’re struggling for time, travelling or on the go. On days when I’m training extra hard I follow my morning workout with a protein shake at the gym and have a protein bar between lunch and dinner to hit my daily macros – they’re also great for taking to the office or keeping in the car for long journeys.

Made from 100% natural ingredients my favourite flavour is the chocolate peanut caramel is my favourite flavour as I’m such a nut-addict! With a creamy chocolate shell coating a soft and chewy caramel centre I love how pieces of crunchy peanuts are dotted throughout – delicious, moreish and a devilishly healthy snack of 259kcal ideal for any time of the day!
