Being vegan I can appreciate a good vegetable inspired greetings card and their “everyday I’m brusselling” offering had me in stitches all morning when I spotted it. It combines my love of plant-based food and fitness at the same time with the festive season and is the ideal greeting for every vegan.
I also spotted the most adorable “there’s snowman like you” card for my partner which tips my pun-o-meter to the brim for feel-good humour and their colourful “Merry Christmas” card with bright and beautiful baubles is perfect for my neighbour.
Creeping into the comedy value of Christmas, my friends and work colleagues are going to have a chuckle or two when they open these playful offerings of: “I want you to know how much I have enjoyed annoying you throughout the year and how excited I am to keep doing so next year.”
Mary holding baby Jesus joyfully tells Joseph “I think I’ll call him Dave”, “Merry Christmas let’s get drunk… it’s what Jesus would have wanted!” and a light-bulb laden alpaca exclaims “alpaca the gin!” have the thumb on the pulse point of Christmas humour.
And finally for my children I chose a “Christmas tree-rex” dinosaur tangled up in fair lights, “jingle bell croc” for the huge fashion trend of making crocs desirable again and “I think me being your parent is enough of a gift” which is perfect for putting some New Year Sales spending money into my daughters Christmas card.
There is something for everyone at Love Layla, whether you’re looking for something traditional or downright hilarious and outrageous – simply scrolling through their Christmas card range is a joyous experience, I haven’t stopped laughing and smiling all day.
Christmas cards also make a great dressing for a gift card or voucher and take the stress and hassle out of choosing presents for friends and family. The only problem being that I love all of the cards and find it practically impossible to choose just one – so why not have 10!
