Our Girl’s Night In Covent Garden’s Newest Hotspot:
Located in the heart of Covent Garden, the venue is easily accessible and perfectly situated for a night out in London, just a short 10mins walk from local underground stations. As our girl group spans the width and breadth of London, it was the perfect meeting point for our evening entertainment.
And whilst one of our group is a seasoned gamer, most of us are complete novices, but we all loved it just as much, and laughed just as hard, as our evening of shenanigans and games unfolded. We were spoilt for choice for games, from ping pong to pool, shuffleboard, mini golf and virtual darts with projected arcade games; you can be as adventurous and active as you like, or simply grab a table for some food and drinks.
Bat & ball has such a fun and funky atmosphere, set in an industrial exposed-brick style underground with disco balls and spotlights. It was such a treat to be able to go out in trainers for once, rock comfortable casual wear and let our hair down to a sizzling hot DJ set and hilarious karaoke. There are also sports screens dotted all around the generously sized rooms showing every sport from basketball to football.
The infectious energy is undeniable, as we arrived as an already enthusiastic group, yet met so many other fun-loving couples and work colleagues hitting the tables after a long day at the office whilst there. The sheer joy of the place is phenomenal, and you’re guaranteed to leave with face ache from smiling and laughing. There’s also plenty of food to choose from, even for us vegans, as their vegan margarita pizza, hummus and flatbread, vegan hot dog and Caesar salad left me spoilt for choice!
Whether you pop in for an impromptu bite to eat, grab drinks after work, book yourself a game or two, or make a whole night of it at the bar, Bat & Ball have created the most seamless environment for the adult inner-child to flourish within us all. We danced, we sang, we celebrated and sipped the night away on delicious cocktails and finger food. And now I’m getting serious FOMO over the thought of how fun it all was as I write this; I think I’m going to have to get the girls back this weekend for a darts rematch! Best of seven? Get the martini’s on ice!
