I had the most wonderful Easter themed photoshoot with a team of very talented creatives and would like to share some behind the scenes footage with you all here. Remember to keep an eye out on my social media for the final images and check out the teams profiles below if you’d like to get in touch with any of them directly.
This shoot took place at ModelsHouseLondon which has a beautiful range of elegantly styled rooms and gardens that were perfect for a sunny easter photoshoot filled with colour and contrast.
Here you can see the whole team working their magic in the garden with this vibrant pink dress and headpiece custom made for this shoot. As a glamour model I’m at ease being in bikinis and crazy high heels, so it was nice to switch things up a bit and add a fashion twist to this shoot with longer hemlines and a concealed cleavage.
We collectively spoke about a mood board for this themed shoot for which makeup artist Jana created the most beautiful looks on the day, building up from soft and gentle pastels, nude lips and wavy hair to bubblegum colours and beads, adding lashes and hair extensions for extra glamour and finally ending on a very striking and bold red lip with winged black eyeliner and bunny ears.
I find the build-up of colour and style here so fascinating as we worked our way through several looks around the central theme of Easter colours and accessories, with items used and removed to allow the images to be used throughout the year and not just this season.
I’ve had a sneak peek at some of the photos from photographer Mete and want to share some of his unedited images here because I’m so excited about them. With around 500 images taken throughout the day we look to take two or three looks from each set to edit and share to social media.
Every photographers style is different when it comes to editing; whilst I’m happy to share raw images straight from the camera with you here, others prefer to adjust the lighting and contrast, smooth the skin and remove any imperfections before even showing the model the images and might not allow any unedited work of theirs to be shared publicly, it really depends on the individual and their style.
As we worked through each set I was able to see a few preview shots on the back of the camera throughout the day and absolutely loved the variety of heights, angles, colours and settings from the garden to the balcony, lounge settings and yellow coloured screen.
From all of these images taken I aim to whittle them down to send a list of 20-30 of my favourites over to Mete which he will then edit and send back to me for use on social media.
Being a model for the past 16yrs I’m well accustomed to posing, angles and variation to move freely between shots but always enjoy creatives getting involved and providing direction and suggestions to take a shot from eye-catching to sensational as the finer details and tweaks are where I feel iconic images are truly made.
The team were fantastic in every aspect of capturing the content for this themed shoot and I’d highly recommend them for models, brands and businesses alike. It’s refreshing to have such like-minded and enthusiastic professionals working together on a project like this and always elevates the content whilst taking me out of my comfort zone and introducing me to new styles.
Finishing up with the final look of the day we moved towards a classic Playboy bunny style with a black swimsuit and bunny ears which we tweaked slightly with white iconic collars and cuffs, a face mask, stockings and boots before I shot with two other models for a group photo.
From start to finish I found this shoot such a fun and uplifting experience which allowed me to explore a more fashion-focused angle for my portfolio and experiment with colours and accessories that I hadn’t considered before.
I see Easter as a sign of rebirth, new beginnings and growth and hope that you can enjoy the content and transformation created today by the team and feel inspired to step out of your comofrt zone also and try something new.
I’d like to wish you all a wonderful Easter, encourage you to count your every blessings twice and give thanks for this wholeheartedly beautiful opportunity that is life x
