As you may have guessed from the title of this weeks fashion haul, I’ve picked some of my favourite FemmeLuxe Finery outfits based upon their ability to be worn loose or tight fitted.
This haul focuses on those in-between moments where you go from feeling fab to bloated and need a little wiggle space after training hard at the gym to then feast on cocktails and carbs! Hoorah!
One of my top tips for concealing bloat is to have a selection of pretty shirt dresses that you can wear belted with heels or even open over leggings and a vest.
With a button up front you can choose to be as sassy or sophisticated as you wish and the waist tie allows you to synch it in for an hour glass figure or let it flow loosely over your curves. This print is so hot and the luxurious gold and blue details look incredible with a tan.
Another little secret of mine to conceal bloat is to stock up on short co-ords and make the most of them being high-waisted. With IBS I never know when my stomach will go from washboard abs to looking like I’m nine months pregnant, so having something fitted and controlled holding my stomach in place is essential.
Rather than having your stomach on show the ribs are exposed instead, which makes the torso look slimmer as it creates a feature of a more narrow part of the body. The tie front top can be worn loose and baggy to create a larger top half silhouette, or pulled in with a bow to accentuate an hourglass figure.
It’s always essential to have day dresses for hiding unwanted tummies, yet several years ago the only dresses I had in my wardrobe were tight fitting and glamourous evening dresses.
Again shirt dresses are so forgiving, cover a multitude of sins and can be easily adjusted with the tie at the waist. I love the scooped hem and long sleeves of this dress and you can never go wrong with a light denim blue!
Finishing up I thought I’d share with you the sheer sass of rocking black loungewear because we all deserve to throw on something comfortable at the end of the day without feeling frumpy!
The animal print and gold detailing of this set are so eye-catching and opulent – so dazzlingly Hollywood for a Dominos and Netflix binge on a Wednesday night when the kids are in bed. Proof that loungewear doesn’t have to be drab, boring or simply for convenience.
If you suffer with bloat too then these are my top belly-busting picks to stay looking your best when your digestive system has other plans. With summer saying a premature farewell and colder nights and darker evenings creeping in we can be forgiven for stocking up on a hearty meal and enjoying the cosier things in life.
It’s always helpful to keep adjustable sized clothing in your wardrobe for every eventuality, especially as we transition through seasons – and snack cupboards!
