Oh look, another month in lockdown! Hoorah! Summer is upon us and we’re all holed up at home like bunnies in hutches dreaming of the wide outdoors. Whilst the government have announced that restrictions will lessen in July, there is almost two weeks still to go until bars and restaurants reopen.
So I’ve put together this mix of nudes versus classics for glam dining-out wear teamed with fashionable quarantine must-haves to make the best of this transition. Enjoy!
First up I thought we could start with cargo trousers as I absolutely adore this slim fit style and FemmeLuxe are one of the few retailers who fit my booty and long legs to perfection!
I’m totally channeling Lara Croft vibes in this classic black cargo trews and love the military style pockets and elasticated ankles – fashionable, practical and so comfortable to wear!
Lockdown wouldn’t be lockdown without buying a zillion loungewear sets to rock around in, which is why I couldn’t resist this short sleeve camel beauty.
I love how loungewear is such a complete, cute and convenient outfit to throw on in seconds and casually chill out in. There’s no time wasted choose something else matching to team it with which is a huge bonus for minimum effort and maximum style.
I’m so hyped about being able to slip into some slinky dresses again real soon and this black strapless beauty caught my eye in a split second!
Ruched, short, sexy and fitting like a second skin I can literally already taste the cocktails and smell the perfume on a candle lit dinner date on a stunning roof top in the city.
Finally I thought that I’d finish this weeks haul with some appreciation for one shoulder dresses as the weather has gone from heatwaves to thunderstorms, torrential rain and back again so you never quite know how covered or exposed to be from one afternoon to the next.
Having one full sleeve versus as exposed shoulder definitely allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds temperature wise, and with the dress being ruched it hides a multitude of sins from the quarantine-carbathon. I love how pretty this looks in nude which goes perfectly with or without a summer tan.
All in all you really can’t beat some classic black staples in your wardrobe with some fabulously fresh nudes thrown in for a touch of timeless elegance.
As restrictions begin to lift over the coming weeks we can finally get excited about returning to some sort of normality and begin to plan dates, parties and get-togethers with plenty of time still on our hands to get our outfits just right!
