Happy New Year 2022! I really can’t tell if this past year has gone fast or slow, if I should celebrate or commiserate and be enthusiastic or highly cautious for what the next 12 months of a pandemic has in store for us all…
But one thing that I do know is that I have major love for my latest FemmeLuxe fashion haul to welcome the new year in style, so come and take a peek at my favourite picks this week!
A girl can never go wrong with a good stock of slinky dresses in the wardrobe for events throughout the year for Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and date nights a plenty!
So when I spotted this gorgeous emerald midi it took all of two seconds to hit my basket. Ruched, figure-hugging and super stretchy, this dress is literally every girls dream.
I’ve consumed so much (non-dairy) chocolate this festive season that I’ve now decided instead of eating any more I’ll start wearing it instead and just love how perfect this chocolate shade is for autumn midi dresses in contrast to winter skin.
The vertical ribbing detail helps to slim down and elongate the torso with slim fit full length sleeves making this dress so femininely flattering. I’m also crushing over the gold button detailing to the left hand side and sleeves to add an extra touch of sparkle.
I’m so hooked on oversized hoodies right now in these cold winter months and actually have this exact same one in an acid wash grey colour – I loved it so much I couldn’t resist picking it up in pink too!
The generously sized front pocket is perfect for smuggling snacks onto a morning run and the drawstring hood keeps me airtight and toasty no matter the weather.
Finishing up with my obsession with mini dresses and again I happen to have a very similar satin dress in a gorgeous shade of rust which looked incredible when I had red hair. Seeing as my eyes are blue I like to match my outfits with this stunning shade of navy that really makes my eyes pop.
I adore how shimmery, vibrant and sassy this dress in, with a side tie detail to ruch it to the thigh and be as playful as you wish. The short hemline, delicate shoulder straps and bold cleavage make this mini such a hit for me whatever the occasion.
