I possibly own around 40 pairs of jeans ranging in fit, length, height and material in almost every colour of the rainbow. A good pair of jeans can make or break an outfit and I have some that are comfortable but not very dressy, some that are super stiff to sit in but make my behind look like a peach, some that are tight and high-waisted and some loose and low. But in my twenty-six years I have never owned a pair of Calvin Klein jeans until now.
The first thing that caught my eye was undoubtedly the striking blue colour. It is almost a cross between peacock and electric blue that just made me think “wow, I’ve never seen anything like these, I have to have them now!” I love the accent in white, which again is unusual as jeans tend to favour metallic, black or grey for zips and studs. ‘Calvin Klein Jeans N.Y’ is stamped subtly in the studs and front button fastening, and again on the white leather patch on the rear and front pocket label.
With the material being 98% cotton and 2% elastane they fit beautifully, feel comfortable and look amazing, they have captured the best of both worlds, practicality and style. As they are skinny fit they skim my legs without being clingy or making me look like a shrink-wrapped sausage, and being low rise they don’t dig into the stomach or restrict movement in any way.
Here I am wearing a size 30 in a length 34 and I simply adore them. They feel and look incredible and the colour is just beautiful. For a casual daywear look I have teamed them with a plain white vest and would possibly dress this with a white statement watch and converse. At £110 from Calvin Klein they are well worth the price tag and a welcome addition to my wardrobe. Fashion is about being yourself, feeling comfortable in what you wear and standing out from the crowd, and these beauties tick all of the boxes and then some!
