Clearspring Organic Apple & Apricot Fruit Puree

When my children were babies I took great pride in making up fresh fruit purees for weaning from our fruit trees in the garden and spent hours decanting homely juice and jams into stock cube trays and plastic tubs for the freezer as mini meals. Yet as we grow we almost forget the importance of taking such pride in our food, preserving the nutritional content and eating a healthy balanced organic diet which is why I love Clearspring because they put Mother Nature back in charge of the kitchen.

Clearspring Organic Apple & Apricot Fruit Puree

Naturally sweet, this mouthwatering apple and apricot puree contains no added sugar, fruit concentrates, sweetners, preservatives, artificial colours/flavourings or ascorbic acid. Using only ripe organic fruit with the minimum heat in preparation to retain all of the natural goodness, each pot counts as one of your five-a-day and has just two ingredients – apples and apricots.

And if you want to use the fruit purees for weaning there are also single flavours available which are wheat and nut free as well as vegan friendly. Each 100g pot comes separately sealed in recyclable packaging and literally tastes like sunshine in a bowl. The apples are incredibly soft, vibrant, fruity and zingy with a mellow undertone of apricot that softens and adds a fruity richness to the puree remaining a glorious shade of orange throughout. Whether you pop it in a lunchbox, bring it to a picnic, pour it over a hot pudding or drizzle onto ice cream it makes for a delicious chilled or frozen healthy snack for all ages.
