Detunephotography Woodland Shoot

I had the most fantastic session with Doug Rimington for Detunephotograpy. We took a walk into the woods on a fresh morning to capture a shoot inspired by the sensation of returning home. We aimed to highlight the difference between artificial and natural beauty, beginning with a walk into the woods after a night out with platinum blonde hair, a tight red dress and killer heels. The concept was to deconstruct beauty by removing the characteristics of what society deems as attractive. Bit by bit I took my hair, clothes and accessories off until I was barefoot in just a vest and underwear, innocent, natural and humble, sleeping amongst the dirt and leaves. The shoot signifies that beauty comes from within, and it’s not what clothes we wear or how we look on the outside. We are all human, we are all fallible and we are all creatures of nature. Incredibly, Doug shot, wrote and performed the footage, stills and music for this entire project himself and I hope you’ll like what we’ve created.
