I have to confess that I own very few pairs of trainers, often using flat soles for workout attire or sandals instead for fashion. I have a pair of grey and fluorescent yellow Nike’s for the gym, white Nike velcro court shoes for casual and black Adidas Nizza’s with white stripes along with various Converse, but no plain black casual trainers. With Sports Luxe being a mega fashion trend right now, when I spotted these beautiful sparkling black Firetrap sneakers it was literally love at first sight.

Here I am wearing a size UK7 in the black glitter blasted upper flatform sneakers, which sparkle at every angle and look utterly incredible. I love the chunky flatform sole which gives height to what would otherwise be a plain flat sneaker, and they also have a great grip tread and are incredibly easy to keep clean as they can simply be wiped down with a damp cloth. There are two long matte black shoelaces which tie at the front in a bow, and they’re lined with a cushioned inner and finished with a pretty metallic trim.
Despite being covered in sparkles they don’t rub off or cause a mess which is perfect as I’d twitch if I got covered in glitter every time I wore them. It’s so refreshing to find such a pretty and practical sneaker that is comfortable to walk in and easy to wear in so many different ways as black is such a versatile colour. Here I have teamed my glitter sneakers with a pair of black opaque tights, a sports luxe oversized basketball shirt and miniskirt.
