I have a slight crush on monochrome because it’s just so timeless and can be worked into every occasion. Black will never go out of fashion and white is a vibrant and fresh addition to every outfit. Monochrome is almost the ying and yang of the fashion world, with stripes being very flattering. This sweater top also reminds me of liquorice and it’s just as sweet!
Here I am wearing a size M which is a UK8-10, an S is a UK6-8 and an L is a UK10-12. The top has a soft cheese-cloth feel to it, loose knit which makes it semi-transparent and is made up of 60% cotton and 40% rayon so it has a nice and casual stretch to it. With a low scoop neck it makes a feature of the cleavage with horizontal lines, and vertical lines to draw down from the torso, skimming over any lumps and bumps and elongating the body.
It creates an effortlessly chic style statement, having shape without being clingy, looking dressy without being too formal, and accentuating the body without revealing all. Although it is classed as a sweater top it’s very much summer sleeveless wear, perhaps more for the cooler afternoons or evenings. Here I am wearing it with a pair of grey shorts and messy hair for a casual day look, but alternately you could dress it up for the evening with a pair of dark jeans, sparkling jewellery and a deep red lipstick and clutch. For just £14.75 I’ve just found my new favourite sweater!
