On a scale of 1-10 for how healthy my hair is right now I’d have to say a 5. Whilst I no longer use hairdryers or straighteners on my hair I have to confess that I’m not a naturally highlighted blonde, as my hairdresser is an absolute whizz at lifting my naturally dark blonde hair with foils every few months to brighten me up. My hair is rather fine after having my two children and years spent dyeing and ironing it straight, and it sits pretty flat to my head, frizzes with any sign of moisture and generally fights me constantly to look neat and tidy. I apply the mask with my fingers directly onto clean towel dried hair and work it in with my fingers, using a wide-toothed comb to comb it through and ensure that my hair is evenly covered as well as preventing any tangles. The cream is glossy, smooth and feels beautiful on my hair as I start at my scalp and massage my way down to the ends of my hair, if I had a husband I’d totally get him doing it for me as I close my eyes and put my feet up! I like to leave the mask on for fifteen minutes with my hair smoothed down and wrapped on top of my head so that my clothes don’t get damp, and sometimes I wrap my hair into a bun with cling film to keep it warm and tidy but this isn’t essential.
After my fifteen minutes are up I rinse my hair with warm water and it feels impossibly smooth and perfect like when it’s freshly dyed at the salon. It’s so silky to the touch, shimmers in the light and looks far more healthier, thick and luscious than the tangled frizzy mess beforehand. I like to leave my hair to dry naturally, combing it straight whilst damp so that it doesn’t knot up and it lasts me 2-3days of looking beautiful before I wash it again and use my mask as a conditioner. It goes to show that using quality natural and organic ingredients is well worth the time and effort and I love how InstaNatural never test their products on animals; fantastic results and ethical too!
