Timberland Earthkeepers Glancy 6-Inch Boot

Every girl is born with the innate desire to own as many shoes as possible in life, and I for one am making quite an effort at this, as I own hundreds of pairs of heels and flats which are all very similar but vitally different in some small way. Take the humble black court shoe, I have several variations of the same style with higher or lower heels, ankle straps, open-toe, closed-toe, matte, patent or suede finish and so on and so forth for nude, red, silver, gold, brown and leopard print. I love collecting shoes almost as much as I love collecting boots, and when my baby-blues caught site of the stunning Timberland Earthkeepers Style #8431A I literally needed a lifeboat to rescue me from my own drool.

I adore the masculine exterior of the Earthkeepers, with their classically recognisable Timberland workman style boot teamed with a gorgeous chunky heel and high top lace up front detail. The boot is made from premium full-grain LWG Silver-rated tannery providing comfort and durability with a padded collar to support the ankle. These boots are a size UK7 and fit me like a second skin, holding on perfectly and finishing a third of the way up my shin. Despite their height they are seriously easy to walk in as the heel is made from durably textured recycled rubber with a rubber lug outsole that is thick and sturdy, much like wearing a wedge or platform just with amazing traction and grip.

The brown roped laces are 100% recycled PET, as is the mesh lining and footbed which are made from recycled plastic bottles that are not only protective in providing OrthoLite cushioning and support, but incredibly breathable and environmentally conscious too. I had been looking for an autumn/winter boot that wouldn’t get wrecked in puddles and mud in bad weather yet would be stylish enough to wear out to lunch or a spot of shopping without being a flat and dumpy boot. And it’s safe to say that the Earthkeepers have ticked all of my boxes. There is the Timberland tree logo subtly stamped into the rear side of the boot, with Timberland also written on the tongue as well as being carved into the rubber grip on the underside.

They keep my feet warm, safe and protected and are so comfortable and easy to walk in with no fear of catching a heel in a drain or slipping over on ice or soft wet grass. I love their rugged look which is both classical yet modern thanks the high top and sensible heel, and I team mine with freshly washed hair, nude nails, minimal makeup, skinny jeans, a parker jacket, brown leather handbag and chunky knitted jumpers and scarves for an on trend layered look this season. Priced at £120.00 by Timberland they are by far my favourite boots of all time and well worth the investment.
