Here I have the fresh cotton fragrance which smells beautifully of sun-dried cotton combined with green notes, white flowers, and a hint of lemon and provides a burn time of 110 to 150 hours of fragrance. Not many people realise, but with all candles and particularly large ones, the first burn is the most important. Candles should burn one hour for every inch in diameter of the candle size, so my candle here needs a minimum of 4 hours to liquefy the entire top layer of wax. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge it will create a memory ring which will continue to tunnel down and burn only the centre of the wax limiting the life of the candle.
