Today I had my first Hydra Facial by Samer Kazmi of The Face By SK in Stanmore, North London and these are my amazing results! I love how wonderfully relaxing this deep cleanse facial feels and my skin is literally glowing from having every spec of dirt, grease and dead skin entirely washed away – a feeling of such cleanliness and clarity that everybody deserves to have.

So being a bit of clean freak at home – and loving everything neat and in order – I found it beyond fascinating to see the colour of the murky water at the end of my treatment that had filled with dirt and grime from my face – just like cleaning old carpets! Who’d have thought your pores could hold so much old skin, black/whiteheads and bacteria?

With this being my first Hydra Facial, I’d seen seen such amazing reviews online but didn’t know how my individual skin type would compare to that of others results. Now that it’s autumn and the heating is going on, I’ve had so many photoshoots and events where I’ve had to wear really heavy makeup for such long hours, been out in the sun and mucky nature all summer and battled hormonal acne to my chin since my teens so I was expecting to see a bit of grime, but wasn’t prepared for just how much!

Hi Tracey did your rosacea take long to calm down again? I suffer from that too and would love to try a peel and hydra facial but am so nervous 😬
It is unfortunately something that I will always have but can minimise the symptoms of. My face feels amazing after my hydra facial and peel, the redness calms pretty quickly after treatment and my hormonal acne is far less aggressive. Sending you healing thoughts x
