Forget everything that you think you know about festivals. Vegan Camp Out isn’t just a music event or a food fair – it’s a vibrant, inclusive celebration of a more compassionate world. Held in the beautiful Bygrave Woods in Hertfordshire, this years annual festival is the UK’s biggest and most international vegan gathering, but here’s a secret: you absolutely don’t have to be vegan to attend and have the most amazing time. Let me show you why…

Vegan Camp Out is a golden opportunity to dip your toes into a cruelty-free lifestyle without any pressure. It’s a space to explore, to learn, and to indulge in a world of ethical, delicious and sustainable living, one bite and leaflet at a time.

From the incredible plant-based world foods to the inspiring talks and lively music, every part of the festival is a testament to the fact that living a more eco-conscious life is not about sacrifice, it’s about discovering new, wonderful and health-inspired things for all.

Beyond The Plate: A World Of Healthy Swaps & Sustainable Goods
One of the most exciting parts of Vegan Camp Out is undoubtedly the delicious food, where nothing on the menu is out of bounds for those with dietary requirements. The festival is known for being a culinary paradise, boasting the UK’s very best vegan food vendors and I can attest to that, as I’ve been going for many years now and always find something new and delicious to try.

There isn’t just a handful of food options; it’s a massive, diverse showcase of how plant-based food can be just as, if not more, delicious than its conventional counterparts. You’ll discover incredible healthy food swaps at every turn, from creamy, plant-based ice creams to hearty, wholesome burgers that will leave you absolutely stunned by the taste, texture and flavour.

The experience of VCO goes far beyond the incredible food, as the marketplace is a treasure trove of natural skincare, sustainable goods, and unique handmade products from small businesses from across the UK. You’ll find everything from ethical clothing to zero-waste home goods and cruelty-free cosmetics. It’s always the ideal place to find a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece while also supporting artisans and small companies dedicated to creating a more peaceful world for us all.

Inspiring Minds and Electric Beats
The festival’s lineup is always mindfully curated to offer something awesome for every interest. The guest speakers at Vegan Camp Out 2025 included some of the most influential figures in the vegan and activist community this year, such as Henry Firth and Ian Theasby of BOSH!, the authors who have made plant-based cooking so accessible and delicious.

Filmmaker Kip Andersen, known for the powerful documentaries Cowspiracy and What the Health lit up the crowds, as the comedy stage featured the sharp wit of comedian and author Sara Pascoe, with green industrialist Dale Vince of Ecotricity sharing his thoughtful insights on sustainable living.

The festival also caters to all of your musical needs, with this years lineup included performances and DJ sets from a variety of artists, including Josh Franceschi from You Me At Six, and the unique folk group Mobius Loop. The music stages, along with the woodland DJ area, create such a fantastic atmosphere for dancing and letting loose from balmy summer evenings to twinkling, illuminated nights. It’s truly magical!

A Community for All
Vegan Camp Out is the most wonderful place for couples, friends, families and pets alike. It’s such a heartfelt festival with a designated family camping field, complete with its own private toilets and showers, and special activities for children. The welcoming and compassionate atmosphere makes it easy to meet like-minded people, whether you’re a seasoned vegan or just curious about experiencing the lifestyle.

A place where friendships are formed, where everyone feels at home, especially your fur babies. So, if you’ve been searching for an event that combines great food, inspiring conversations, fantastic music, and a genuinely good vibe, then Vegan Camp Out is a must. You’ll leave with an entirely new perspective, a handful of delicious food ideas, and the feeling that you were part of something truly special.

Whilst I adored the delicious food stalls and ethical market as always, I’m thrilled to have experienced my first ever gong ceremony with Jaccuraworld this year which used deep sound, light codes and shamanic instruments for quantum sound healing to reconnect with inner wisdom. It was such an incredible experience, and another first to tick off of my list. There’s always something new and exciting to discover, which can make the biggest difference to your mindset, health and lifestyle alike.
I hope that you have all had a wonderful time at Vegan Camp Out 2025 and really look forward to seeing you again next year!
