Having reached the ripe old age of thirty I’ve proudly achieved professional status in bodybuilding, raised two children, climbed a mountain, had a third of my body tattooed, appeared on television and the media across the world and undertaken every challenge that life has thrown at me; yet I can never get my winged eyeliner straight, have no idea how to balance my brows and frequently find myself eating lipstick whenever I try to apply it – some things are best left to the professionals!
Trained at the Central School Of Makeup and accredited by the internationally recognised IMA qualification, Lainey Morgan is a freelance mobile make-up artist based in Buckinghamshire and specialises in bridal, day, evening, vintage and corporate styles. Rushing between photoshoots, parties and events as a single-parent I struggle to find free time and childcare so having a mobile makeup artist to hand is essential when it comes to being camera-ready.
I love how flawless, natural and long-wearing professional makeup is and it certainly adds the finishing touch to every outfit and special occasion. Lainey is incredibly talented, welcoming and understanding of my every need – including my excitable children – creating this day to evening look meticulously within an hour which she then finished by curling my hair.

I’m not usually one to wear a lot of makeup as I dislike the thought of smudging my eyebrows or blinking off an eyelash and when attempting my own makeup for a night out I always seem to look (and feel) like coco the clown. Lainey matched my skin tone perfectly and covered the combination areas of my greasy-nose and dry chin, dark under-eye circles and red cheeks with a flawless, natural finish foundation without cracking, caking or looking like I was wearing too much. With a subtle highlight, peachy lips and a touch of blush I love how the main focus is on the eye and how perfectly youthful it looks on camera.
We chose a gold glitter eyeshadow blending into nude for the lids with a brown gel liner and false lashes for subtle volume in this classy day to evening look which has really accentuated the blue of my eyes. I love how fresh, bright and uplifting this makeup style is and could certainly get used to a cup of tea, cheery chat and cosmetic pampering on a more regular basis.
