I’ve developed a bit of a tartan addiction recently as I already own a pair of red tartan trousers, a red tartan blouse and now this beautiful bralet; I also buy shortbread for my parents every Christmas but that’s neither here nor there really. I love the geometry of tartan, the bold straight lines and fusion of light and dark. Tartan seems so ordered and in control and is so visually pleasing for my OCD, so this was a wonderful treat from my Amazon Wishlist and I’d like to say a big thank you to my kind reader who got it for me.
Here I am wearing a size UK8 which is a Small and it fits me perfectly. With a zip front fastening I’m wearing mine fully zipped up as I wouldn’t want to take out any eyes with my cleavage as it’s pretty exposing as it is. Whilst this crop top isn’t adjustable as the straps and back size are fixed, it does have a slight stretch to it to accomodate a UK10 however I think it would be a bit baggy as a size UK8 without a bust.
I have teamed my red tartan crop with a high-waisted black miniskirt and knee-high boots, accessorised with a black choker and wrist beads and some pretty full-on eyeliner action for a punk rock evening party look. I love how crop tops and skirt combos wear very similar to a dress but shake up the style stakes as you can clash or contrast pieces.
