It is far too easy for a girl to fill her wardrobe with LBD’s, and although tight black bodycon dresses will always be a staple, sometimes less really is more. A beautiful understated cut or print can really turn heads over that of a slinky and out-there number, leaving more to the imagination whilst adding a touch of sophistication.
I absolutely adore this blue floral collar dress, as the large print is simple, yet elegant, and the block of blue balances beautifully with the etched white petals and soft raspberry centre of the florals. The dress is 100% polyester so incredibly easy to wear, and has a very slight stretch; however with such a large cupsize I didn’t want to shrink wrap my bust, so I’m wearing a UK10 instead of my usual UK8, which I think is more flattering and slimming for this piece.
The white collar gives a formal and somewhat innocent touch, and it ties in with the white petals to help lift and lighten the dress. I have become a huge fan of letting clothes speak for themselves, and as a result I am more inclined to leave my hair, skin and makeup as natural as possible, so I’ve kept this smart-casual with a pair of gold flat sandals and an oversized brown leather handbag and sunglasses. This dress would be perfect for a business lunch, summer outing or wedding, and a french manicure, softly curled hair, cork wedges and simple bangles would really set it off. At just £13.00 Atmosphere have certainly delivered a winner for the summer floral trend.
