Not only are boots far more practical to walk in than heels but they also keep your feet warm and dry in this chilly grey weather and thanks to their faux-fur they make you feel like you’re walking on clouds. Pixie believe that only animals should wear their coats which is why they use the most superior quality microfibre faux-fur for their boots, and for that they deserve a standing ovation!
Here I am wearing the Sophie boots in the colour chocolate and a size UK7. These boots are all about comfort and flexibility and can we worn pulled up or rolled down to expose the faux-fur. Now when it comes to faux-fur there is a fine line between hit and miss in fashion as the cheaper variety is very plasticy in texture, looks like badly frizzed hair-extensions and possibly conducts more static electricity than a pylon. The faux-fur on these boots is incredibly well made and from looking at it alone I don’t think you can tell that it’s fake, with only the touch of it giving the game away as it’s still soft and sumptuous but not as silky as real fur.
With a scalloped collar the boots work wonderfully when pulled up over jeans or teamed with a skirt and really help to flatter the shape of the calf for classic winter style. I love the wooden toggle detailing to the back of the boot and exposed contrasting stitching around the ankle to create a pretty country feel. With a hand stitched slip resistant sole and faux-fur inner sock I’ll never be caught short on an icy pavement and can still feel my toes when crunching through ice. As with all Pixie boots the iconic Pixie logo is stitched to the back and is a brand to be worn with pride. Priced at just £69.95 these gorgeous Sophie boots are an animal and purse friendly high-quality alternative to fur inspired fashion.
