Fake tanning from home can be a bit of a tricky business, if you do it right you’ll be transformed into a bronzed Goddess in minutes, but get it wrong and you face being an embarrassing biscuit. I have to hold my hands up here, because when I fake tan from home I naturally make mistakes. Sometimes I miss patches of skin, leave streaks or have very brown finger creases where I’ve failed to exfoliate and moisturise my joints properly which remains horribly visible until my tan fades. With thanks to the Taneraser mitt my tanning woes are now a thing of the past.
When applying fake tan it’s always important to exfoliate the skin first, removing any rough dry skin as well as products and perfumes. The pink side of the Taneraser mitt is perfect as an exfoliator, capable of removing old fake tan. The black side can be used for stronger exfoliation on the elbows and ankles. A fake tan can last around a week if maintained properly, as exfoliating away any old skin first allows the tan to take to a fresh surface and is more likely to last longer and stay truer. The tan Eraser can be used to remove professional spray tan or self tanning products at home, whilst leaving the skin beautifully soft and ready for your next application, as well as correcting any awkward mistakes along the way.
The mitt has a textured ripple effect surface with an elasticated cuff that can be rinsed out with warm water after use to keep it clean. It has a large surface area and comfortably fits my shovel hands. Priced at just £6.00 from Taneraser, the humble exfoliating tan removal mitt is every girls summer essential!

As someone who uses exfoliating mittens I can definitely confirm that using one prior and after a spray tan will not only make it last longer but also be more even all over your body.
It also will help in the removal of a spray tan by exfoliating the top dead skin layer of your body.
Great article and thank you for posting it 🙂
