When it comes to wearing red I’ve always been a little shy as it’s all too easy to fill my wardrobe with black, blue and white because they’re such safe and familiar colours. When I spotted this stunning dress at Topshop I actually thought that it was orange at first and couldn’t get it out of my head. You know when you walk around the store looking for something completely random and then spot something you like and if you don’t buy it there and then you’ll kick yourself forever. Well this was my there-and-then buy and I’m so pleased that I got it.Here I am wearing a size UK8, made from 94% polyester and 6% elastane it is beautifully soft and stretchy with a thick and sturdy feel to it. I like dresses that have a bit of substance to them and aren’t too thin as they are less likely to crease or show up any unsightly lumps and bumps or underwear lines.
With it’s high neck and midi length finishing just below my knees this dress is certainly conservative but what gives it it’s killer style is the stunning colour and way that it fits the body like a second skin. The zip-back dress is sewn into panels which allows it to nip in at the waist and create the perfect hourglass figure and I love how it exposes the arms and ankles because less is definitely more. Because it’s such a bold colour I’ve kept my hair and makeup natural and minimal and would team this with a white blazer and clutch for evening wear. Priced at an incredible £30.00 from Topshop this has to be the style steal of the century!
