So when I was fourteen I had blue hair and always painted my nails black and covered my face, I guess it was an ego/goth phase that most teenagers go through at one point or another as they try to find themselves. Granted it only lasted a couple of years before I grew out of it but it was certainly a phase of my very early fashion experimentation that I enjoyed, only I never actually owned a corset and felt like I’ve been missing out in life until I spotted this little stunner from Sammy Dress!
Here I am wearing a size UK8 made from black faux-leather this stunning corset is fully adjustable thanks to it’s lace up back. I’m seriously digging the front buckle and ribbed detailing that makes me feel so rock and roll that I actually have to stop myself from sticking my tongue out and throwing up some hand signals! The corset fits me like a second skin, isn’t tight or restrictive and doesn’t pinch which makes it a joy to wear and I have mine on without a bra because it keeps my ample bust perfectly supported.
This is certainly an acquired taste but I love rocking my corset with a pair of black leggings and knee-high boots for an evening out, it’s all about embracing your body, taking confidence from individualism and never being afraid to try new things. I may not be the most rock-and-roll chick to grace the earth but I love this vegan-friendly goth revival from Sammy Dress.
