This weeks FemmeLuxe Finery fashion haul is my back to black edit – simply because you can wear black with everything and it will never go out of style!
Here I’ve picked out four of my favourite seasonal staples and hope that you’ll love them just as much as I do…
First up I think we’ll start with a spot of appreciation for puff sleeve dresses because this dress totally gives me Lady GaGa vibes!
With the weather being sub-zero outside, heavy dresses with full thick sleeves can feel claustrophobic, especially when you go to a hot restaurant and can’t cool down! I love how this gorgeous PU dress clings to every curve whilst keeping me covered yet cool due to the dramatic organza puff sleeves which scream fashionista!
It’s no surprise that us girls love black dresses but they don’t all have to fall into the LBD category, because utility shirt dresses are just as cute for a spot of winter warmth with room for a dessert and cocktail or two.
Boxy, bold and masculinely mischievous, I love how this mini shirt dress makes such a striking feature of the legs whilst nipping in at the waist for a perfect hourglass figure thanks to the matching utility seatbelt.
Next up I thought I’d delve into mesh crop tops with this organza beauty. Crop tops may instinctively be a style reserved for the summer, yet with these gorgeous full organza sleeves they keep the evening chill off perfectly.
With a lace up back and off-the-shoulder design I love how playfully pretty this crop is and know that it will look just as cute with a pair of wetlook leggings and heels if you can’t face this cold in a mini skirt.
Returning to jackets we’ll finish with this utility cargo number which at first glance is pretty similar to the shirt dress that I first showed above, only this is actually just a jacket – it just happens to be a minidress length so I’m wearing it by itself.
We think of jackets as an accessory to wear over our outfits and remove when we get too warm, but I love wearing jackets as the sole feature of an outfit as this black beauty looks adorable with both heels and flats.
This weeks fashion haul has kept me all wrapped up warm and stylish to keep out the cold – but it goes to show that you don’t have to sacrifice on style just to be practical as good fashion does both!
Having bright hair and statement nails works so well with pale skin and dark clothing in the winter, but if you’re feeling washed out and lacking a tan then you can jazz up these darker picks with a few choice coloured accessories and metallics. What accessories would you pick?
