Forever Living are a natural aloe vera based company, growing and producing natural aloe vera based skincare and products since 1978.
The Aloe-Jojoba Shampoo claims to leave the hair clean, shiny, soft and manageable, with its pure aloe formula and pH balance benefiting the hair and scalp which is suitable for all hair types. Its enzymes remove dead cells whilst strengthening amino acids in the hair follicles and the natural sudsing agents fortify the hair and give body. Jojoba works as a natural lubricant to replenish lost moisture by treating the hair shaft and ends to reduce tangles and dryness. It is mild and can cleanse the oiliest of hairs, whilst removing flakes and soothing the scalp. It almost sounds too good to be true, so let’s see how it fares on my dry locks; To the shower!
Squirting the rich golden syrup-like Aloe-Jojoba Shampoo into the palm of my hand, it smelt sweet, natural and looked delicious. Having already wet my hair with warm water I massaged a pea sized amount of shampoo into my hair and instantly it got to work. The shampoo felt fluid and manageable and was refreshing and effortless to work in. After a few minutes I rinsed it off under the shower with warm water as directed and my hair felt silky smooth, refreshingly clean and luxurious to the touch. Having used many different shampoos over the years I always tend to go for the ‘for dry or damaged hair types’ or ‘for coloured hair’ as they all tend to be targeted at unique hair conditions. But with this being a ‘one for all’ I wasn’t expecting it to give me as satisfactory a result as something more specific, however I was gladly proven wrong. My hair feels gorgeous without being heavy or loaded with product, my scalp is soothed and clean almost like that feeling you have when you’ve just brushed your teeth, and the shampoo has removed all grease without drying out my hair. I feel very well maintained and uplifted and it goes to show that it’s worth stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new because I’d never go back to a ‘for dry and damaged hair’ shampoo again after this!
