Kicking things off with an accidental purchase, how could any girl say no to this dress! In a beautifully rich chocolate brown colour, I love how effortlessly it hugs the body with its soft and stretchy fabric featuring a ruched detail to skin over any lumps and bumps post-Christmas.
With such delicate shoulder traps and a midi length hemline, this dress is classy, elegant and sophisticated all in one as it makes such a divinely feminine feature of the back, shoulders and bust.
Moving onto the reason for my purchase, I was looking for a jumper dress to wear with tights and ankle boots during the day which could transition to heels and a clutch bag for the evening and this black ribbed bodycon literally ticks all of my boxes and then some!
Stretchy, soft, generously sized and nice and warm on a winters day, it’s so easy to dress up or down with heels and accessories and has such an understated elegance that I will cherish for many years.
I can’t help shopping for a bargain, especially during the new years sales, and have made a promise to myself to be more kind and treat myself to little gifts as and when I feel like it rather than thinking of every reason and excuse to deny myself gifts.
We’ve spent the festive season expressing our love and gratitude for others in gift boxes and presence, now it’s time to look inward and treat ourselves with the same patience, compassion and generosity that we show to others.
