This week I’ve been on a bit of a monochrome spree looking for outfits to accessorise with the latest colourways and trends. Much like our homes, we can entirely change the look of a room by adding bright and patterned scatter cushions to a bed or sofa, changing the colour of our curtains or introducing a statement rug. So here I’ve gathered a selection of my favourite black, white and grey outfits from FemmeLuxe Finery which will look incredible with colourful necklaces, bold nail colours, metallic clutch bags and statement watches; keep an eye on my social media to see how I style them all!
First up I have this sassy faux leather corset top bralette which totally gives my inner rock chick life! Fastened securely with hook and eyes at the back I love how busty this bralette makes me feel; it really lifts and boosts my cleavage. Due to my size UK8 waist I’m wearing a size small here to fit my body type, but my 30FF bust would also happily fit into a medium for coverage.
Whilst I’ve teamed it with my black Timberland boots and have yet to decide on what to wear over my lingerie, I think this would look super cute with a pair of cropped skinny jeans and some plaited bangles for daytime casual, or a bright coloured miniskirt and strappy heels for evening glam.
I think co-ords are the cutest thing and I couldn’t resist this pretty cream set with a tie front top. I love how carefree boho chic this makes me feel with the flared bottoms and long sleeves leaving the ribs and cleavage on show whilst hugging every curve.
Whilst I’m wearing this set without lingerie, my tattoos are slightly visible through the material but only the darkest details show; so if you’re looking for a little extra support then flesh, nude or peach coloured lingerie would work best with this.
Next up we have this sizzling grey bodycon with a sexy side split up to the top of the thigh conveniently allowing me to conceal my underwear line. Bodycon dresses will always be my favourite because they fit like a second skin and are so flattering on curves.
Whilst I’d usually see grey as a casual daytime colour, this pretty little number would look absolutely stunning with dark metal accessories, a bright nail varnish and gothic lip colour to enchant every evening out.
Finally I thought I’d finish with a bodysuit because they’re just so incredibly versatile. I love the cut of this high-waisted beauty which makes my legs feel like they’re grown an extra six inches in an instant.
Perfect for rocking with a miniskirt and heels to expose the waist and elongate the legs, or a pair of Converse and ripped short shorts for free-spirited festival vibes, you really can’t go wrong with this style staple however you choose to dress it.
I hope my monochrome selection this week has inspired you to concentrate the colour into your accessories and shake up your style sense because every outfit can be worn in a multitude of ways if you know how to take it from daytime to evening.
I also love how well monochrome clothing works with a tan, when dull skin becomes bronzed and bright coloured accessories pop all the more in contrast! I’ll be packing these beauties into my suitcase for some serious summer style in the sun.
